Acne Gel ST Rx
Acne Gel ST Rx
Acne Gel ST is used in the treatment of acne, and acne/rosacea overlap. This product not only curbs acne and repair skin health but also help treat acne scars and prevent the formation of new coarse hairs on the chin! No wonder the Acne Gel ST and Acne Gel ST Forte have become the acne-suffering woman’s “new best friend”!
How It Works: Acne Gel ST/Acne Gel ST Forte are some of the "crown jewels" of the SkinHappy acne offerings. These products incorporate Tretinoin -at 0.025% starting level in the ST formula, and 0.05% maintenance level in the ST Forte formula- with fat-soluble Niacinamide (B3), and topical Spironolactone. Spironolactone is used for treating hormonal-type acne most prominently on the lower face, by blocking the male hormone receptors in the skin of both men and women.
How To Use: Acne Gel ST is generally used at night and is often part of a more complete program to manage active cases of acne or acne and rosacea overlap.
As with all products containing tretinoin, you may need to develop tolerance, so as to avoid a retinoid reaction. This can be done with the use of the product once or twice a week, and slowly increasing usage to nightly.
Avoid the corners of the mouth, nose, and eyes. Moisturizers such as Cerave, Vaseline, or the SkinHappy Intense Recovery Cream can be used to help dry skin.
Once the skin has fully accustomed to Acne Gel ST, it is recommended you move up to the Acne Gel ST Forte product.
Use With: Always use a broad-spectrum sunblock in the daytime.
